Pelly D's DiaryToni V's Note
Toni V's notePelly D, a popular and well-liked girl with a high social class, someone pampered and has the minimum problems to be encountered. I never would have thought someone so socially superior with wealth that anyone would beg for would end up being ocstrasized from the society and had to put through with poor and hardship circumstances. All these happened only because of discrimination, shunned only for having something which nobody can stop, a gene-tag. Just because she is a Galrezi, just because of having this gene-tag which nobody can prevent.
Is there no justice in the world? Inequity is highly unacceptable.
Although Pelly D is determined and has put a positive and strong front, telling herself that discrimination is seized to exist, sadly with the future being hard to predict and with the war going on, she actually had to face the harsh truth that her life is in danger.
Thank goodness the war is over.

Although the City's calm and peaceful and everyone's talking, we all know what the main chat topic is, and it is Galrezis. People are pointing fingers at the Galrezis, blaming us for having started the war. Nobody mentioned the faults of Atsumisis, especially when it is them who started isolating Galrezis, very "neighbourly" indeed.
My apartment is being taken over by some of Dad's colleagues, and you guessed it, all of them are Atsumisis. They sent us this huge hamper of luxury food. I can't believe it!
They can be so two-faced! One minute they're all nice and warming, the next they're all nasty and ocstrasize Galrezis.Being a Galrezi is changing everything, my lifestyles, my attitude towards "losers" like Marek T (in fact, I'm starting to like him) and I am actually starting to pay attention to examinations.Waterworld has revoked passes of Galrezis! Unfair.
They certainly can't treat Galrezis like that,
they certainly can'y treat ME like this!
Drought is happening, we are reduced to carrying water cans. The rationing is inappropriate.
Nobody knew what will happen next. Though this is still City Five, it does not seem like out City anymore. Everyone is suffering in this building full of ocstasized Galrezis.
They're taking us somewhere, we have to leave this building fast. I don't know if we will ever come back.

That explosion I saw through the windows made the walls shake. And moving to the opposite block was hard and exciting for me, but it's hard to decide what to bring over too (although it's just opposite the plaza) as there is
my shoe collection and my other precious clothes, which won't fit in the bag at all. I want to know how's Moma Peg doing in the "hospital". I went there but was too afraid to question more about her. However, when i logged into my e-mail, everything was wiped out! Mum said that our new apartment was okay, however when i saw it for myself, I found out that everything was not functioning and the furniture all looked so old and retro, unlike the grand and posh ones in our previous apartment.
Atumisis are completely dumping everything unworthy to us Galrezis, we have rights too! How could they treat ME like this? Well, thanks to the Waterworld, I managed to get some fun out of that crappy house. After walking about the whole Plaza, I heard (according to one of the security officers that were in the plaza for peace-keeping) that the Galrezis were kicking up a fuss for no reason.
How I felt like punching him! This is another good example of how cruel those stuck-up Atsumisis are! Innocent Galrezis were being mistreated everywhere for no good reason.Had a quarrel with Marek T in school but eventually let him into our house to stay since he got kicked out of his. I only let him in 'cause I pity his state. Anyway, examinations are on their way, I HATE THEM!

Ever since obtaining that sickening permanent stamp, I've dropped from hero to zero. Being a Galrezi receives people's cold shoulder, even though I'm Pelly D. More and more Atsumisis appearing around the school, they're getting preferential treatment from everyone and everywhere. Even the headmaster has gone all proud and arrogant, he's been showing off his red stamp and City One badge a little too much lately and he has been negotiating with Ant Li's family a lot.
Ever since having the family obtaining that sickening permanent stamp, Dad has been embarassed to be seen with us.
Ever since obtaining that sickening permanent stamp,
Atsumisis are going to steal the holo-pools, the house, the everything that we Galrezis have. Jerks.Ever since having Big Bro obtaining that sickening permanent stamp, he has been acting all moody and weird. Well, thanks to the gene-tag, Big Bro's being shipped off. Big Bro left home secretly in the middle of the night and i tagged along quietly behind him. At first, he was supposed to
help be a slave to the Atsumisis, to escape from that, he decides to go overseas to work for the O-HA, it's pro-peace. Take care, Big Bro, good luck.
Ever since obtaining that sickening permanent stamp, I've been speaking to Marek T. A lot.
And due to unfairness and discrimination, war began. Explosions and screams everyday.
ONWARDS AND UPWARDS, PELLY D! Do not let politics get in the way of my day, forget about the Atsumisis and their arrogance! ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!Labels: pellyd'slife

Discrimination of epi-gene types are gradually becoming more serious everyday.
I can say that there is no difference in the Atsumisis, Mazzinis and the Galrezis.
No matter what kind of gene tag each one of us has, everyone will still remain human. Everyone is treated differently ever since they have those disgusting permanent stamps on their hands, indicating which "society" they belong to. Some people were begging for freedom of ethnicity.
Atsumisis are the most stuck up ones, as they are known to contribute the most in the planet and they are rich and special, to make things short, they are the most powerful and superior kind of humans. Mazzinis are like the piggy in the middle of Atsumisis and Galrezis. Galrezis are the ones who are shunned and nobody pays any respect to them, in other words, they are in a lower social class. I really pity those Galrezis, they are practically ignored just because they are born.
People had been suffering under the government of the Atsumisis and protests are going on against compulsary stamping. City One is using the excuse of being neighbourly governments to haul in Mazzinis and Galrezis to work for them. Atsumisis are just trying to put the Galzeris down!
Galrezis are being treated differently everywhere because everyone feels that inequity has caused them to feel uneasy and out of place. They receive special consideration. This is plain absurd! The Gene Thing is affecting everyone's moods!
Everyone in the family is on the verge of getting our hands stamped and we are simply not going to give in, we strongly refuse. More and more Atsumisis are loitering around in the school with preferential treatment.
I cannot help it but sneak a glance at everyone's hands, I know that it is impolite, but
i will still remain having a it-does-not-matter-what-colour-you-are attitude.
And still, I cannot believe it, it is the fall of my entire world. Dad sent in our DNAs, of course everyone's angry with him! Our persistence had failed. And now, I have a permanent stamp on my hand, and it clearly and blatantly says: Hey world! I'm a Galrezi! Yes you got it,
popular and well-liked Pelly D is officially known to the world as a Galrezi.
Well, Dad's definitely an Atsumisi while the rest of the family are one hundred percent Galrezi. I will just have to assure myself that other people will treat us the same and I still will be Pelly D right? Wrong, we will be victims of discrimination forever.
But I'm Pelly D, nothing as dumb as gene-tags discrimination will put me down.Labels: pellyd'slife

It was funny hearing Mum say the grown-up name, Damson, out loud. I guess one day I'll be an adult ad be P Damson and
all smart and rich and everything. I think maybe I'll be a Space-age lawyer in City One, or, even better still, Captain of the Marie-Cloud, i bet,
with tons of gorgeous men after me.
Dad let that B*****D into our house again and was fawning all over him. I hope he notices our new holo-pool is more offworld than his. I'll say this for the other continent, they may have the foulest weather system on the planet but they make nice pools. When its not raining, its snowing. Yes, snowing, like you see in the documentaries. If that’s the New Frontier, I don’t see why anyone wd want to go there-unless it’s for the pleasure of a sail on the Maire-Cloud, of course. Big Bro says people aren’t so freaked out about the gene thing Overseas. The Atusumisi Heritage Clan haven’t worked their ‘
magic’ over there so much. Overseas, they’ve got this thing called the O-HA, some humanitarian thing that sends stuff to us – water mainly. O-HA are totally Pro-Peace. They totally get my vote then: Hello O-HA!! Fancy a trip over here to sort out civilization? Starting in City Five if you please!
But there’s not way I’m going there, I have amibitions, yes, and World domination is almost within my grasp, but why would I want to move and change this wonderful life? OK, OK, there are a couple of adjustments I’d make to my life (like disposing of parents, head teachers & the B*****D) but apart from that, I got it good!
Sassy B called me. Big changes. It’s scary. I can’t believe this is happening. What’s WRONG with our government? Why doesn’t General Saint-Antel do anything? I’ve started an amial letter campaign about it already. Basically, Sassy B’s mum has to go to City One to work on one of the irrigation projects.
They’re going to pay for the relocation, which is good, but the whole family has to go, which is BAD. That’s neighbourliness for you. I hate our governement.
They went today and Sassy B got to go on the Marie-Cloud before me. There was no need to cry. Actually, I was pretty sad watching her go. That beautiful ship - all the way to City One. Things are great here, apart from the drought right now (and the Heritage Clan fruit-loops). When I’m grown-up I’ll go there at warp-speed, just try & stop me.
A couple more kids from our year are leaving for City One. Unfair! They’ll miss the big test on early Colonial science – yawnarama. Who care how they propagated the first crops or set up synthetic factories?
Y Bretton says everyone will get one of those gene stamps.
There is no way I am having MY colours co-ordinated by the governement.
I hate blue, for starters – doesn’t go with my bonny brown eyes!
I’m not having red either, like Ant Li. & as for green,
that wd mean being Galrezi, & let’s face it, I cd never be so unpopular. It’s not the same without Sassy B. she was my best friend. She really was. She didn’t want to go, & her mum and dad made her. I mean, I WAS jealous & all that, but I’m not anymore. What’s the point of moving if you leave your best friend behind?
That Thing with You Know Who is so OVER. I don’t know what it is about him. He’s just so smug now, like all the Linveki family are personal friends o the first Colonial to set foot on this planet. Since when did they have the right to get to pompous?
We’re all descended from the first batch aren’t we?
OK, so me & Mum are not talking right now. She won’t let me have my nose pierced: says it’s common. What’s the big deal? Everyone’s up in the air about the gene thing & the City One drought, & all she can worry about is if her daughter has too much metal in her flesh. Mum said I shdn’t get all hung up on physical stuff when I told her
I think I like strong men. I told her it was natural. Boy did she turn on me then - read me te riot act about what’s ‘natural’ and what’s not. She’s got a real thing about the whole multi-ethnicity issue. Says we shdn’t discriminate against anyone. Except people poorer than us, of course:
we’re loaded, so that’s discrimination isn’t it? I don’t care anyway. I like having money. Maybe I cd give some away.
Big stink at school today. I emailed Dad about it & he freaked & wrote that maybe I shd go off to the girls’ boarding school in City Three instead. I’d rather die! Cooped up with a blockful of bad girls, in that
dire school uniform. I mailed Dad Right Back & rest assured I’m staying here at Saint-Antel’s School for the Terminally Bored.
Nothing much happening.
Dyed my hair red.
Now everyone wants to. What it is to be popluar.
I had the
cutest two-piece cozzie – Cimarron Yellow – with a gold hoop in my belly. A nose ring wd’ve completeled the look, but I had to make do with rows of studs in my ears. Labels: pellyd'slife
